06-22-2026 Fishing report Lake Erie Monroe, Michigan
Mayflies are are in full swing, along with lots of biting flies. Water temperatures are rising, walleye are moving to shallower water. The catch remained good out from the DTE power plant in 20 plus feet of water, North. The water is slowly starting to clean up after all the East wind on Monday. Ran into lots of weeds around Fermi coming out of the Detroit River.

Spoons and mini discs seemed to be the ticket out 70 to 90 ft. Speed varies, one day it’s hot to 2.5 knots and the next day it’s 2.1 knots. The walleye seem to be hugging the bottom feeding on the mayflies.
Please be mindful of the other boats. We are all out to have a good time and catch dinner
