S.S. Badger begins Lake Michigan overnight sailings

LUDINGTON, MI – Night owls and stargazers, this is for you: The S.S. Badger is offering overnight sailings across Lake Michigan.

These journeys across the big lake offer chances to catch a sunset from the water and lay back on the deck for stargazing away from city lights.
Running from Friday, June 19, through Sept. 7, the additional night crossings offer passengers a unique travel experience and greater flexibility. The ship will also continue to offer daytime crossings through Oct. 11.
The 410-foot coal-fired car ferry, a National Historic Landmark, offers a nostalgic travel experience and a convenient shortcut across Lake Michigan; the trip takes about four hours.
Onboard amenities include restaurants and bars, Badger bingo, a movie theater, indoor and outdoor lounge areas, board games, a museum, a gift shop and children’s activities.
